A Day at TESG
School hours
The school day runs from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Classrooms open at 8:00, and fee-based early-morning care is available from 7:30–8:00. The day begins promptly at 8:30. Students not staying for a club, tutoring, or activity should be picked up by 3:45.
Class sizes and houses
We offer small class sizes in kindergarten through 8th grade. Classes are grouped into multi-age “houses” — sets of classes that work on projects, eat lunch, take field trips, and present together. Houses share teachers and assistants, which builds community and lets us group students flexibly by interest and need.
Time to play
Unstructured play matters for children’s growth, so every day includes time to move and be social — no less than 30 minutes of recess, preferably outdoors, and at least 25 minutes for lunch.
Lunch
Students may bring lunch from home or pre-order from our local vendor through our online lunch program. Students who qualify for free or reduced-price meals receive those services at TESG.
